#1 Post by JS » Mon Apr 23, 2012 9:54 pm

hi,
I was wondering what everyone was using for filters; oil,air & fuel?
do most of you recommend and use genuine LR filters &/or does it make a difference?

thank you

I use LR filters.
Does it make a difference? Beats me, but for the relatively small amount of extra coin it costs me I don't need to know.

If I spend an extra 100 bucks a year on LR filters and it saves me 100 bucks in engine/pump wear I'm happy. If it doesn't make any difference, well it was a hundred bucks worth of not fretting over cheap filters.

You will get a lot longer injector life with a higher efficiency fuel filter than stock. Stanadyne has a holder that bolts straight in the stock location. 2 micron elements are around the same price as stock filters.
