Importing from Japan

I am very curious.

I have been on the hunt for a good clean 110 tdi for a couple of months now.

With respect to importing, there does not seem to be much in the way of importing from Japan. There are lots of examples of importing from Europe.

However is seems like there is a fair amount of good stock in asia. is there a reason not bringing defenders over from Japan?

I have a little Japanese RHD Pao I use a s a promotional vehicle which was imported, works great and I mention this as there seems to be a thriving business in vancouver importing Japanese cars.

So why not defenders? is there an import issue bring these in from Asia? or is it just other factors?

Should not be a problem. I think that Defenders were just not very popular in Japan so the pickings are slim.
