Diesel injector service

#1 Post by ishapiro » Thu Oct 04, 2012 12:54 pm

Hi All,

Can some one recommend a good diesel injector service shop in the mainland area? I need my 300tdi injectors serviced/calibrated.

Thanks.

Yes, I did go there last Thursday. I worked with Gord and Morgan and they were very helpfull and friendly. My 300tdi EDC had a slight smoking problem when cold. It would smoke and misfire only at around 1500 RPM so I assumed it would be fuel injection related as everything else looks good. They cleaned and calibrated the injectors but that didn't solve the issue. Then Gord mentioned the valve clearance. I did the valves 15K when I first got the truck so would never suspect that. I got back home and on the weekend rechecked the clearance. It seems to have solved my problem (knock on wood) :-).

In any case I would highly recommend them as they are very professional and look well equipied to deal with LR unique stuff.
