Another short video from our recent trip to Strata Florida. We drove down the night before and camped at the start of the lane route in Rhayader in the Elan Valley. It was a nice little start to the weekend as a link route across to Strata with some great scenery along the way.

That was a beautiful run through the valley, looks like you hit some good weather!
Are all those old roads originally made by farmers or are they access roads of some sort.
BTW, I like the way you brought your exhaust through the rear wing panel, never seen that before on a Defender but its a good idea to tuck it up high. (can be seen at time 2.08 on the video).

Its a combination of things. Some are old Roman Roads, some are old sheep farmers access but in that area there is an old abbey and it was the path the monks used to travel about.
The exhaust is brilliant. My mate did it for me. Tucks it up a bit further out of the way of damage but also sounds great. I made a simple video of my friend making the modification if your interested.

Nice videos, both of them. Great scenery and no nasty, scratchy bushes. :D
The exhaust, a few questions:
1 It goes uphill at the end. Is there any problem with condensation collecting and causing corrosion in the exhaust?
2 Almost the same question: Does any water get in wading or is the volume of the gases coming out enough to keep it at bay?
3 Any danger walking into it and getting burnt after the car's had a good run?

It's a pretty standard mod for a unofficial roader. There appears no issue with. Condensation and mine is now so high it's unlikely to ever been underwater. If it is then I would have 6 inches if water inside as well an a bit flowing back down the exhaust would be the least of my worries. But yes in water you tend to create an aqua plane to get through an keep the revs and pressure up to keep the water out.
As for getting burnt, I've got 2 kids so thought about that and it barely passes the chassis. You'd struggle to accidentally brush against it I think.
