Merritt exploring

#1 Post by DaveB » Fri Jun 24, 2005 10:04 am

We were thinking of heading out mid day saturday and doing some exploring around the Merritt - Aspen Grove corridor and camping overnight Saturday night. Nothing too rough, just easy exploring.

Anyone interested in coming along?

No matter how hard I try, someone keeps sabatoging my plans to come along next weekend. But if I can, I will.

This should probably be in Rover Spotting, but we spotted a couple of old trucks during our exploration this weekend, so I'll leave it here.

In downtown Tulameen, Jim Skelton had mentioned that he saw an orangy-red 88". I found it too. Just across from the service station and down the street a ways. I didn't see the other one on the trailer though, Jim.

I think you're right, looks like the one from Corbett Lake.

We were driving back to Princeton along the Old Hedley road and I spotted a Series I pickup in someone's driveway across the Similkameen River. Looks like its actually being driven. Dark gray in colour.

We camped at Otter Lake Provincial Park. Great, clean spacious sites. Not very crowded -- yet!
