here in PG , there are 13 gas stations that sell diesel . the cheapest diesel is Supersave @ 144.9 per litre and the most expensive diesel is Shell @ 150.9 per litre . the other 11 stations carrying the brands [ Chevron , Husky , Esso , Canadian Tire and Mohawk ] are all in between the cheapest and most expensive range . a logical simple explanation is elusive here ?

i know when Costco starting selling low range gas here in pg last fall , their price was 112.9 per litre . funny how all the other 30 gas stations here in PG dropped their low range gas prices per litre from 133.9 to 112.9 - 114.9 . low range gas now has creeped back up to 121.9 per litre [ the Costco standard ] .

It is because of the unusually cold temperatures in the eastern US. Diesel is used to heat homes. In a few months, it will change.

Have noticed it rising a bit...

Also noticed that Shell in the Okanagan appear to have been caught out with the amount of anti-gel additive required in the cold snap. The worst fill-up I have had so far.

Just think yourselves lucky that you aren't in Britain, where diesel is currently the equivalent to $2.50 per litre.

This keeps up and folks will start taking the TDIs out of their Land Rovers and putting those frugal Rover V8s back in.

Regular gas is $1.389 and diesel is $1.349 here in Yellowknife right now. How it could be more in the southern BC I don't understand.

With what I get for mileage, diesel would have to go way way up
