Hi Ron
Rob Greg and I are planning to do some pre scouting trips for two drives this fall. Right now I think the gates are still closed for fire hazard reasons. We will post something up on here and the Van Isle Land Rover network when we know more. Maybe the end of September and Thanks-giving weekend?
Do not forget about Fort Rod Hill on the 14th of September its a great show.

Hi Dixono
It will be nice to meet you. No you do not have to register for fort rod hill. Just show up before 9:30. It is a very interesting place to explore there is a lot of history and neat old buildings to look at. I think it is $15.00 per truck and as many passengers as you want.
Food is available all day starting with a pancake breakfast served up by the lions club.
Bring a lawn chair you might get time to sit down.
See you there weather permitting.

Re: Thanksgiving weekend run
I'll join you guys for a run this fall... the Series is still not ready so it'll have to be in my FJ though I'm afraid.
Yeah I know, back of the line, behind the diesels...

Hi Dr Rangelove
You will also be behind the J*&Ps in case of that Toyota throttle pedal thing rearing its ugly head.
Victor 1962 Dormobile ( were working on the runs) Maybe we should have a pub night in Victoria also?

Re: Thanksgiving weekend run
Wouldn't it make sense to put me up front then in that case Victor?! :p
Don't worry, it's a manual... I think it was only the autos that had the sticky pedal issue...

Possible run location
Hey everyone
I did a little trail scouting yesterday at the end of Spruston Road (runs along the Nanaimo River in Cassidy). Found a couple of nice trails, one heads up into the hills, another goes down into a campsite along the river. Started along another that I think goes to MacKay lake but turned back because of a lack of time. Everything was "no scratch" but some nice scenery and some cross-axle spots. I was driving the 130 and it had no problem but if we were to go again I'd take the Range Rover without any worry... any of our current rovers shouldn't have any trouble. There's also some opportunity to explore some trails that I didn't follow so we could likely make a day of it.
A couple of dates that would work for me are Sunday Oct 5th or the Saturday the 11th (Thanksgiving long weekend)
Anyone else interested?

Hi Rob
Either date works for me as long as Marg and I can catch a ride with somebody.
