Mackenzie Trail Signup Form
If you're interested in going on the Mackenzie Trail Trip in August, we'd like you to sign up using this form.
Please don't be bashful. We're not going to hold it against you if your plans fall through. It's just alot easier to plan if there is some indication of who's planning to attend.
Dates have been set, with departure from the lower mainland on August 13, and return to the coast on August 21. Details of the event will be discussed at a meeting to be called in the next couple of weeks — likely Saturday breakfast somewhere. We'll keep you posted.
thanks, Dave

We currently have 9 trucks signed up for this event. Jim, you might be able to catch a ride with someone.

Mackenzie Trail
At tonight's meeting we discussed the departure process and meeting places.
We will depart Whatcom Road Exit of Hwy 1, jsut east of Abbotsford on Saturday morning, August 13, and drive as far as 70 Mile, about 5 hours to Kris & Marks cabin.
Sunday morning, we will proceed north to Quesnel and meet at the big gold pan at the north end of town at 12:00 noon. From here we will have a drivers meeting, fuel up all tanks — and any spare tupperware containers we can find and proceed westward. This is last chance for fuel and groceries for about 500 KM.
There are several, including myself, who won't be meeting at Wahtcom road, so that's why we're establishing the meeting point in Quesnel.
After Kris and Phil go through the GPS points we'll then decide whether we camp at Titetown Lake or Kluskoil Lake the first night.
The schedule from there is a little less established, but the goal is to do about 5-6 hours of driving max each day — at least that's my goal!
thanks, Dave

We're trickling back into the area. I arrived home last night, Dave, Kris, Mark and Phil on Sunday night. I think Stuart, Bill and Bernie are still out there somewhere, or perhaps got home this evening. They took a side trip to Bella Coola.
It was a long and arduous trip, with the road conditions much wetter and worse than 3 years ago. Detailed reports will follow shortly...
