Hi all,
New club and forum member in Surrey here. I bought a LR2 a few months ago and have never looked back. It's my first vehicle that isn't a car and I needed something safe for our new baby. (read: something slow)
I've had British cars for years (I currently have one P6, half an SD1, and 1.5 TR7s) and the LR2 was a natural choice for an SUV, but now I'd like to use it for fun too. I'm hoping there are other LR2 owners in the club, some of the photo galleries on the forum suggest that there are.
I've also been idly looking for a '95 Discovery and I suspect someone is hoarding them all, because the only ones that seem to crop up on craigslist are broken, dead, or highly suspect.
Anyway, I look forward to seeing everybody at Founder's Day.
Tim

Welcome, Tim! :D
I'm also in Surrey AND I have a Discovery.
I'll be at the Founders' Day celebrations, so be sure to come and say 'hi.'

Is that because the rest of it has turned to iron oxide?timxxv wrote: half an SD1
Apparently at the end of 2013 there were only 86 left on the road in the UK.

That's a sad statistic for what is really a very decent car.withabix wrote:Is that because the rest of it has turned to iron oxide?timxxv wrote: half an SD1

But, no, in my case - a tree fell on it ...
