Club Run - Hut Lake - Sun March 15th 2015

We have a one day Club run in the Squamish area this Sunday up to Hut Lake.

What - One day off-road Run up to Hut Lake, near Squamish
When - Sunday March 15th, meeting at Squamish Tim Hortons at 9.30am for coffee, departing at 10am sharp
(note- there is more than one Tim Hortons in Squamish, we will be meeting at this one - 38930 Progress Way;

Why - For the adventure and get some good mountain air in your lungs!
What else - Bring a packed lunch or pick up lunch at Tim's in the morning. Expect some tight, technical fun trails, to be driven slowly and carefully. Its a little bushy in some areas of the road. We will likely have a campfire at the lake and relax.
We expect to be back on the Sea to Sky by 4.30pm.

Looks like the weather forecast on Sunday is clearing up nicely. 8)

Dont forget to bring you camping chairs to relax around the campfire at the lake ... maybe a smokie or two for lunch!

Was a good run, looks like we lucked out with the weather, wasn't so nice on the way home!

Post Run Report .........

Yes, wow! A mild, bright, dry day, we sure lucked out with the weather. Didn't see any rain until half way home on the Sea-to-Sky. 8 trucks ventured out to Hut Lake, the road up there seemed rough, rougher than last year but we all scrambled & clawed our way to the lake just in time for lunch. Big camp fire by the lake and spent an hour enjoying various snacks & beverages before doing it all again on the way back down. Stopped off for a little detour to visit Levette Lake before slipping back on the highway and heading for home.
Great day out, thank to Mike P who was our Tour Guide for the day ....... (I guess you didn't get the memo that the Tour Guide brings along the lunch for everyone ...)

Looks like everyone lucked out on the great weather. I wished I could have joined you. Unfortunately, I had to take my mom to the airport. It was miserably weather all day from Chilliwack to Richmond and back.

Have been too busy the last few weekends looking at houses. With the essentials like the right garage door height. The house, location, garden and view were important as well.

All sorted now, moving in May.

Hopefully I will have time to get out and abut a bit this year!
