18 years ago when I shiped a car here from Montreal via rail. The car was covered in an oily grime that pitted the paint & the interior smelled like burnt oil. The cost to clean cut wax etc.. from the insurance claim was more that the cost of shipping.
Ship via enclosed truck, also depends on value if what you are shipping..

re: vehicle shipping
Hi Paul
I used Fasttracks in New West to ship my 101 from Toronto a couple of years ago. I found them to be quite good as long as you follow their instructions. As I had an oversized vehicle I had to wait for a number of oversized vehicles to get lined up and then the special railcar. They are located on Annacis Is just on the other side of Queensborough.
Check out their web site: www.tasttracks.net or (604) 580-2777 (604) 520-1700
Cheers
