Sunday's Run following the 4WDABC Fall Convention

#1 Post by Bill E. » Fri Sep 16, 2005 5:06 pm

All are welcome for a day run up Norrish Creek to the "Can Opener". Trip leaves from Michael's restaurant on Loughheed Hwy out at Dewdney at 10:00 pm on Sunday the 18th of September. This trail is passable by any reasonably equiped truck but the "Can Opener" section has a distinct possibility of damaging your truck. There is a bypass around the toughest section of the trail which you can take if you want. Come on out to watch the carnage

Is that Loughheed and Dewdney Trunk Rd in Pitt Meadows, or the town of Dewndey past mission on the Loughheed Hwy?

I searched for Michael's restaurant on the internet and even the (gulp) paper phone book and have had no luck.

Jason, We're talking about 10 KM east of Mission, as Highway 7 crosses onto Nicomen Island.

Choke, The run proceeds up Norrish Creek FRS for some ways and the rough stuff does have alternate routes, so you only have to do it if you feel comfortable with it. Also, since it is close to a main FSR, you can decide at any time to part compay nad head back to whatever other commitments you have.
