So I first scanned the forums and then did a word search, no luck. My 97 range rover got T boned a few weeks back, still fighting with ICBC. In the mean time, the dash reads check owners manual, passive security...bla bla.. Point is, it will not start, it locked my key in the ignition and is causing me grief. So... where is the inertia relay located and how to I by pass it to get the truck up my driveway someplace safe and retrieve my key from the ignition?
I have not given up on my rover, and if I have to, I will rebuild the thing myself, screw ICBC..
cheers
John

Re: inertia switch
My 2001 used to immobilize itself occasionally, eventually I got it running by disconnecting the battery overnight then re-connecting the next morning and entering the 1515 EKA code. I never got a stuck key though, it is in park?

Re: inertia switch
Hi John
The inertia switch is behind a small, removable plastic door on the kick panel on the front passenger's side below the dash. The switch itself has a round top that you press to reset it. Good luck, sorry to hear that ICBC isn't being very rover-friendly.
