Bolts
OK this is maybe a dumb question. Is there anything particularly special about landrover bolts. Is there any reason I shouldn't just pick up few packs m10x35mm flange bolt (or whatever) from lordco etc. vs buying online from landrover suppliers by part number. Obviously I wouldn't be popping into home depot for them. I looked into the specific bolts i needed for one little thing using the part number at a number of online options but the shipping was ludicrous (rovers north 48 USD for shipping for 4 little bolts wtf?!)

Re: Bolts
Depends on the bolt. If it is a flywheel bolt, or something else that is equally critical, buy the Land Rover spec bolt.
Suspension bits should be fine with standard metric bolts so long as you buy a bolt with an adequate strength rating. Metric bolts can have a tensile strength anywhere from 400 MPa (grade 4.6) to 1200 MPa (grade 12.9). I generally get grade 10.9 as that is the highest grade available with a zinc phosphate coating for rust resistance.
Fastenal should be able to get you anything you want but probably won't have it in stock locally. In Langley, Alder Auto in Port Kells has a huge selection of bolts in stock. If it is a really oddball size, Fuller Metric in Port Kells is your best bet. I generally avoid Lordco for bolts.
