Defender Clutch Master Cly question.

#1 Post by Christopher Lang » Fri Nov 04, 2016 4:58 pm

So, I've got the drip on my pedal shaft....

Time for a new Master, or rebuild the current one; However I was wondering the following:
Are all defender clutch masters the same? Meaning, would a NAS one fit my 1984/300tdi bus?

I was looking at parts websites, and I am thinking that it would. Be nicer to get one through the Lordco if possible than from further afield. From reading, The slave cylinders are different though.

Am I correct in this?

Thanks in advance!

Hi, hope the wheel nuts worked ok. On Rimmer bros website, all 83-06 110 & 90s use the same master, STC500100 is the LR part #. What ever type you get, just make sure that it is a 3/4 bore and you will be good to go.

I'm sure the wheel nuts will be fine Tony, I have yet to use them.... I spent some time sticking the factory seats back in the front of the bus. Seat belts retract now, and now I can build and install the cubby.

I called lordco, and they don't list anything separate from the whole clutch kit, they'll check Monday morning, but....

I was searching the interwebs and maybe I'll just go this route and use an iron dorman cylinder:

Depends on what I find out on monday about costs, etc. I don't really imagine that the master wearing is actually trouble, I had an ex MOD 110 for about 10 years previously and never did nuttin to the clutch master.

I had an aftermarket MC go within 18 months. Not sure of the brand as I did not install it. Currently an Allmakes from Roverlution is working OK.
