Hi all,
My original alternator died so I bought a rebuilt one. A month later I came out and the battery was dead. I charged it up and started the truck, alternator dead. Took it back and got a 2nd one. Yesterday morning, battery dead again. I charged it up and started the truck, alternator was fine. Today, after 1/2hr driving, it died again.
I'm going to replace it again, and I've also ordered a new, not rebuilt one, but wondered if their might be some other issue causing them to fail? I have a winch, but it is disconnected when not off roading, and I haven't used it in months. No non-stock, extra drain on the battery when not running.
Thoughts?

One word... LUCAS!
Ok, all kidding aside, have you ruled-out a faulty battery?

Bad connection on the main grounds or main lead. Bad warning light circuit.
