Snowflake Chase Off-Road Run Sunday 15th April
Its a club tradition that we head out on a run the Sunday after Founders Day which we call the Snow Flake Chase
What - Light off-road run into the local mountains. Also a good run for beginners and newer trucks.
When - Sunday 15th April, meeting at 9.30am. Plan to be back on the highway by 4pm
Where - South of Chilliwack, we will be heading towards the Canadian Border Peak on the 49th Parallel
Why - Good mountain Air, great social event, to exercise our Land Rovers, throw a few snow balls!
What Else - Meeting at Whatcom Road Tim Hortons just off highway #1, convoy to the trailhead. Bring your lunch. folding chair, cameras etc. Family friendly, nothing too crazy, expect snow at the end of the road.

Hey Roverlanders,
May be able to make it. Would be bringing my Jeep Grand Cherokee with the family and another Jeep Wrangler with some friends.

Hello! Its been a long time since ive posted or come out on a run.
Would it be ok to come on this run with a 3 month old in the vehicle or would it be too harsh for her?
I probably wont be driving the rover as well though.

Hi Jikjak,
If you are talking about the Raptor, it should be fine. When RoverLanders say stock friendly they are pretty spot on. Worst may be bushes but we can thin out any big sticks.
Question, how do you know your Raptor is a "her"? Did it lay Raptor eggs? Mine is male for sure because it has 2 more pistons.
Andy, are you considering a wienie roast fire at the top or just bag lunches?
PS saw your rig at the Founders Day but was in and out pretty quick and missed any familiar faces.

Re: Snowflake Chase Off-Road Run Sunday 15th April
lol, the her i was referring to is my 3 month old daughter. I was wondering if it would be safe to bring her along since it seems to be a stock friendly run and I figure it shouldnt be too bumpy as long as I dont drive too fast.
I was also double checking to see if its ok if i dont drive the Rover as well.

Haha!
From my experience you can drive whatever you want. You just need to be ready to take verbal abuse delivered with an English accent. I'll be bringing the Jeep but I'm battle hardened from driving a ford with these guys a few times.
If we have any trouble we can let your daughter deliver the rebuttal.

Re: Snowflake Chase Off-Road Run Sunday 15th April
Great turn out! 17 vehicles headed out on a sunny Sunday for the Annual Snow Flake Chase.
It didn't take long to find snow, we were about 50 meter from the US border and around 750 meters elevation when we first hit pockets of snow. Within a couple of km's the snow became 2ft deep and slowed the progress of the 17 truck convoy to a crawl so we soon stopped for lunch, relaxed and chatted in the sunshine. Good to relax after a hectic Founders Day. Thanks everyone for coming out and officially completing the mission of finding snow for the 2018 Snow Flake Chase!
More photos coming tomorrow....
Cheers,
Andy
