Can you see the difference?

#1 Post by Rob » Sat Sep 15, 2018 11:20 am

Ok, let's see who the real Anoraks are out there... can you see the difference between the one on the left and the one on the right? So, what is the main difference? Bonus question... what model of engine does each relate to? Good luck :D

The number of water pump holes is different, the 7 hole one is a MOD spec, the 9 hole one is civilian, both for 2.25 Rover engines, diesel or petrol. Match to an appropriate water pump and they can interchange.

Does anyone have a picture of the early Series II front cover that uses the 8 hole water pump?

Timberpig is correct! <y next question was to post a picture of an old water pump I have with "8" holes and ask about it but apparently RichardV has read ahead on that chapter so I'll need to come up with a different question :) Well done!
