Sunny Club Run - Indian Arm - Sunday 2nd December
To take advantage of a rare Sunny Weekend, we are having a one day Club run, starting in the Squamish area heading down to the North end of Indian Arm.
What - One day off-road Run down to the North End of Indian Arm and then possibly onto Norton Lake, starting from Squamish.
When - Sunday December 2nd, meeting at the Squamish Tim Horton's at 9.30am for coffee & breakfast, departing at 10am sharp
(note- there is more than one Tim Horton's in Squamish, we will be meeting at this one - 38930 Progress Way; http://goo.gl/maps/bVGdO
Why - For the wilderness adventure and to get some good mountain air in your lungs!
What else - Bring a packed lunch or pick up lunch at Tim's in the morning. Camp chair and Sunglasses 8) Expect some tight, technical fun trails, to be driven slowly and carefully. Its a little bushy in some areas of the road so expect some BC pin-striping. The plan is to have lunch at the north tip of Indian Arm, take in some sunshine and relax. We expect to be back to Squamish by 4.30pm.

Hi Andy
Thanks for today, really enjoyed myself and it was good to meet you all. And well done for bringing some wood, the fire was lovely, especially as the sun set behind the mountain.
Good to see some snow (light dusting) and I notice on the way back the needle drop to -1 as we came through this area.

Re: Sunny Club Run - Indian Arm - Sunday 2nd December
Hi Gary,
Glad you made it out for the run, thanks for sharing the photos.
Post Trip Report;
Eight trucks met up in Squamish for the run down to the North end of the Indian Arm. The road was in good condition with just a few small rocky landslides and several small creek crossings. We followed the Indian River which was running hard with all the recent rain but luckily for us, this trip the weather was sunny and bright, nicely lighting up the frosty trees in the valley. The highest elevation we passed was around 850m which had about 1" of fresh snow making everything look very Christmassy!, We arrived down at the Indian Arm in the warm Sunshine and soon were munching away on lunch. We could see that the sun would soon be disappearing behind the tall mountains that tower above the Wigwam Inn so quickly put together a toasty camp fire that kept us all warm well after the sun has slipped away. Not wanting to leave this serene spot but knowing that darkness comes early in December, we packed up around 2pm and headed back along the valley towards Squamish. Its always good to make the most of sunny weekends in the Winter months, great company, thanks for all those who joined in,
Cheers,
Andy
