WANTED: Series I 107" Parts

#1 Post by 4wheelstogo » Thu Jan 17, 2019 3:21 pm

Hey all!

As stated in the ad title my Series I 107" is in need of parts. Any parts will be considered as she is a little worse for wear.

The list will continue to grow however as it stands;

--107" Frame in good condition or repairable condition
--Safari roof for a 107" or a 109"
--Front and rear seats
--Any bits and bobs left over from your Series I restoration

Thanks for taking the time to look! Keep an eye out in the 'Projects and Builds' forum in the near future for my little 107"

Cheers!

I've got a 109 tropical roof in Courtenay now. Vic in March. Was hoping to sell it as a package with the rest of my 109 station wagon body parts.

Not sure on the interchange between series 1 109 and series 2/2a/3

I wasnt sure about the roof but I knew the rest wouldn't.
I know it wasn't correct but my brain was thinking all 109s were series 2 or later... Stoopid brain!

Hey there;

I have 2 107" SWs that I am slowly working into a restoration project. I am building on a new Marsland chassis, so will have 2 chassis to choose from, but timeframe may be an issue, as I have not disassembled the cars yet and having babies has slowed progress.

For chassis:
One is fair, with repair likely needed in the rear crossmember, possibly elsewhere. Free.
One is excellent solid condition but engine mounts were cut off at some point...easy enough to fix. Price/trade TBD

I will likely have a 107" SW roof panel, fair condition but with no heatshield or vents. Heatshield could be fabbed of adapted from 109" perhaps? The vents might be hard to find, as they are different from the later style. I think I have the glass for it. Price/trade TBD

I have 4 bulkheads that are all fair, but will be repairing and galvanizing them. Will sell 2. Could sell one as is.

Seats are specific to 107". Mine are very rough and will need to be totally redone. Important bits are the one piece frames for the front seat and the rear bench. I MIGHT have a spare front seat frame, I don't think I have a spare bench. I will need to check. I will have some miscellaneous interior trim bits, but all very rough.

Once I have picked the other body bits I need, everything else will be surplus. Many of those are specific to the 107" SW.

I may have other bits as well, but am concurrently rebuilding a 107" and an 86", so I am holding onto most of the mechanical bits until i am sure of what I need.

I have lots of:
-bonnets
-doors
-seatboxes
-windscreen frames
-rough wings
-headlights

I need:
-fuel tank
-possibly a 2.0l engine block or complete motor
-rear semifloat axle
-various electrical bits
-86" rear tub in good straight condition

Its a rare enough car that we should certainly stay in touch; many of the bits are very specific to the 107"SW. I'm willing to TRY to accelerate my work if there's something that can help keep your project going but can't make any promises about timing. I am located in Squamish. Contact me by email or private message, and feel free to come up and see what I have. It'd be great to see 2 107" SWs brought back to life.
