Back up lights

#1 Post by Mikejohnson » Fri Jun 05, 2020 6:46 pm

Not finding much information. About back up lights for a 1068 2a. There are two white lights on the rear both with burnt out bulbs. No voltage at fixture when in reverse. Haven't crawled under truck to check for a switch at tranny yet. Was hoping to get some input before I crawled under

The switch is located on the top of the gearbox at the shifter and is actuated by the lever operating the shift linkage. Access to it normally requires the floor and tunnel to be pulled. Once you get in there, it may be as simple as dirty connections, a bad switch, or something further in the wiring.

Here’s where my switch was located for reference.

It is 52 years old. How many 52 year old cars do not need work?
