steering box

Hello I have been asked to help a Canadian member of the" Series One Club" to try and locate a cast iron steering box for a early 80" , left hand drive, so I said I would try and help Find one. Thanks Robin

I have a steering box from a 1953 80”. I think it’s cast aluminum though.

Hey Matt,

I'll take the steering box it they don't want it. Mine on my 52-80" is fairly (totally) worn out....

Thanks Matt, the owner specified a cast iron box and I am not at all familiar with the 80" models . I will contact the owner right away and get back to you asap. Cheers Robin

I contacted the owner Matt and they have an aluminium box fitted now and they are searching for the cast iron box as originally installed so I thank you for the response and will keep looking. Must be a rare box if they are having such a time with it. There was some initial confusion as to where this Landrover is. I thought it was in Canada but is actually in the Netherlands and they haven't had any luck finding one there. Cheers Robin
