Please join us on April 8th for the Four Wheel Drive Association of British Columbia's monthly trail run to Sunrise Lake. We meet at the Sasquatch Inn (30 kms east of Mission on Hwy 7) at 9:30 on the second Saturday of each month and depart from there at 10:00am (SHARP!). From the Sasquatch, we head up to the Weaver Fish Hatchery to air down, and usually leave there for the lake by about 10:40am.
This month, in addition to cleanup activities, I will be building an inventory of the site condition as a basis to define the spring/summer maintenance and upgrade activities that we will be tackling. In addition, I intend to identify any sections of the area that have reasonable cellular telephone coverage -- information that will be included in our "emergency preparedness" plan to be provided to the government in support of our formal trail adoption agreement.
Following Sunrise, we will be trying (for the THIRD month in a row!) to return by way of the Mystery Creek/Chehalis Forest Service Road, and expect to return to the Sasquatch Inn well before dusk.
All levels of truck/driver skill are welcome on this run, and it is a family event so kids and dogs (and bunny rabbits if you so desire!?!) are more than welcome to attend.
Due to the nature of this event, I ask that there be no alcohol consumed on the run.
If I can answer any questions, please don't hesitate to drop me a note ([email protected]).
