Hi
No the sills I am referring to are the vanity plates (they hide the bottom of the petrol tank and anything else that hangs down under the rover) that run from the behind the front wheel to in front of the back wheel, most old rovers have them bashed to pieces and they get removed.
Land rover shortened them from 5 inches deep to 3 inches deep (series 3) style in an attempt to keep them from getting bashed.
The T piece you mention is available from Rovers north for $1700 US dollars

Re: Wanted deep sills for 1969 station wagon 5 door
Hi Matt
I have learned a lot about sills lately and I now know that the 109 station wagon 5 door rear sills are constructed differently, the top section is different were it goes under the rear passenger doors.
They can be modified with a fair bit of work. (I bought the wrong ones from another forum member a year ago.)
From your pics I can not tell which those are can you take a top pic? Thanks
