Hi everyone,
I have been working on a 1959 Series 2 Land Rover for the past couple of years after saving it from a scrap yard. The issue is that the person that owned it prior had removed the registration plate to paint the bulkhead and then it was never put back on. I am looking to find a generally close year of registration and plate just to be able to ensure the vehicle when the time comes around. I am willing to purchase it or trade for parts. Attached are a couple of photos of the start and current progress.
Cheers
Richard

The registration number should be stamped into the right-hand front spring horn if it has not been changed.
Does the previous owner have any documents for it?

Thanks Colin, I will certainly take a look. But unfortunately the previous owner had past away and then when the estate was cleaned up for sale this Rover was pulled out of a half collapsed shed and sent to a scrap yard. I bought it from them with no papers and very little information.

Kudo's to you for saving the old girl and choosing restoring rather than scrapping.
It's a lot of work and time. Your results so far looks great, keep it going,
Cheers

Yep, you might have to do some cleanup. My serial number was hard to spot, but if it's the original chassis it will be there.
