Disco 1/RRC exhaust measurement

#1 Post by RamblerRob » Tue Sep 15, 2020 10:01 am

Hey guys,
Im hoping that i can get a bit of help with a measurement.
I'm looking to get a landmark for where the disco 1 or RRC 3.9 v8 exhaust manifolf flange sits vertically in relation to the frame and longitudinally in relation to the transfer case mounts.

Im looking to modify a stock y pipe for use with my engine swap but I'll need to be sure the transition will be workable before i invest in a stock or aftermarket y pipe.

To recap i need:
1. distance along frame rail from Transfer case mount to exhaust flange for each side
2. Height from frame rail to exhaust flange for each side

Thanks for anyone that can help.

Not sure if these are the measurements you require.

Pipe on pass side comes down from engine at about 45* in the center of the frame rail at the same angle. Goes under the round X member and the bottom of the pipe is about 3/16" lower than the frame

18" from the rear of the round X member to the end of the Y pipe

7" from back of Rnd X mem to the forward face of the T/C mnt

Y pipe ends in the center of the gap between the T/C and Park Brake drum
