Series 2 bulkhead outrigger replacement

#1 Post by Chris_W » Mon Dec 20, 2021 4:30 pm

I got my steering relay housing all put back together and tacked in so it’s back to the bulkhead outrigger fitment. This has got me very perplexed so I would very much appreciate if someone out there in Roverland could shed some light.

I pulled this drawing from the net and it shows:
59.125" (width between bulkhead fastening holes) - 31" (787mm) (width of chassis) = 28.125"
divide that by 2 = 14.062", this should be the dimension between attachment point to frame and bulkhead mounting hole which seems to correspond to my original situation.

When I measure the DA 2014's I get 14-1/2" which I’ve been told are “in spec” . With both of them it's like over 3/4" out.

What I would truly like to know Is if this drawing in incorrect or is there another drawing I should use or just maybe those bulkhead outriggers aren’t for early series 2?
