The '59 restoration has taken a few interesting twists and turns....my original plan (within reason) was to keep originality.
BUT once the engine was pulled and dismantled that plan seemed to change due to pistons seized, cylinder wall pitting, with the appearance of hairline cracks....etc.etc.
Thompson Machine in Nanaimo has given the block and head a clean bill of health and can easily rebore 0.030" over and rebuild the head......so I am now back to original plan of originality.
This is leading me to a long shot search for an exhaust manifold (gooseneck style) part #501175.
If anyone has one or knows of someone that does please let me know.
Thanks,
Stuart
