Brits on the Beach, Ladysmith, July 14th UPDATE
Brits on the Beach is happening again in Ladysmith at Transfer Beach Park Sunday July 14. This event has been gaining popularity over the years and usually draws well over 200 of those cute little cars from over the pond and of course a good selection of Land Rovers to bring some character to the show. The show runs from 10AM to 3PM and it is important to get there early to secure the best parking spots. There are vendors and washrooms on site and the views from the park are awesome.
I know that Victor will be bringing a convoy up from Duncan for the south island folks so feel free to connect with him in this post. If anyone is planning to drive down from the north or from the lower mainland please let us know so we can save some parking spots for you.
Unfortunately the after-show Rover BBQ has to be cancelled due to unexpected circumstances (sorry, will try again next year).
Looking forward to seeing you there on the 14th!

Howdy Rob and Lisa
We shall be attending your Barbeque after the show, thanks again for hosting it.
If anybody's interested the convoy from my place in Duncan will leave at 8:00am sharp and start heading north to Ladysmith via the beautiful Cowichan Valley backroads.
Hopefully lots of land rovers and small british cars will join the convoy.
Tell your friends the more the merrier.
See you then Victor
(Weather permitting of course). I dont do car shows in the rain.

Hi Victor,
I plan on coming over from Salt Spring Island, but the ferry doesn’t get in until 8:45 (the alternative of arriving at 0625 is a bit too early for me!!). I don’t expect the convoy to wait for me, but perhaps you can save me a spot in the Land Rover section… I won’t be far behind.
Regards,
Stephen

Hi Stephan
We shall save you a spot with the Land rovers they always put us in the same spot on the hill.
We are leaving my place a bit earlier this year 8:00 am, since it gets so busy at that show and last year some of the cars in our convoy got jammed into some very undesirable parking spots beside the dusty grass (dirt) road leading into the park.
Looking forward to seeing you again, I'm not sure how many rovers will be attending the guys from up Island normally go to the Campbell river air- car show. Yes its on the same day again there are actually 5 car shows this Sunday. Including 2 others I would attend............wish they wouldn't do that.
Talk soon Victor

The Defenders put on a good show, with the Td5’s dominating. Five Td5’s (3 110’s and 2 130’s), a 110 Tdi and Rob’s 90 Wolf. Then there was a LR3 and a Discovery 1. I think that was everyone.
Good turn-out from a wide variety of other British cars, but they don’t warrant pictures here!
