Hi Stuart
I arrived late at 12:30? (Nanaimo traffic), 2 rovers in attendance.
We did have a very good chat and a nice visit. I left at 2:30?
Sorry the owner of the Cafe who organizes these events kind of blew it. (Well actually he totally blew it). 24 hours notice doesn't cut it. 30 days from now he will try again, last event they had 10 rovers attending.
A few Island rover guys are trying to organize a camping trip way up Island sometime in August hopefully it will get posted on here.
Free to all you dont have to be Rover landers member.
Other than that I think the British car events on the Island are mostly done for the year, the Southern branch of the Old English car clubs fall event, is at this time sadly no more.
Fort Rod Hill used to be great but the Fort Rod Hill Administrators cancelled it for some strange reason (busiest day of the year for them), I just dont get it then it moved to the "Governors mansion" in downtown Victoria then to Enrico's winery in Cobble Hill which was good but only room for about 30-40 vehicles then last year to a Winery in Brentwood bay which was very exclusive (no outside food or even water) you had to buy from them?????????? that didn't go over very well, now its no longer happening as a British event at all.
We are going to do a Rover -British car run up the Crow and Gate british pub in beautiful downtown Cedar (South East of Nanaimo) some time this fall, likely on A Saturday, Ill try to post it up on here.

Hi Victor:
Sorry I missed you. Should have hung around for another 15-20 minutes.
Decided to head to the Qualicum Beach Cafe for brunch.
Will catch up with you on the next event.
