TVR RPI performance parts for RR

#1 Post by rezdiver » Mon Oct 23, 2006 10:51 pm

any input on RPI TVR performance parts from the UK?

I have been eyeing some TVR performance crankshafts and pistons and rods for the rover V8, there seems to be some great options out of the UK with parts available to make the truck bigger than a 5 liter engine. and the prices for aprts are pretty reasonable.

anyone have experience with this?

just so there is no confusion between my posts, i have a daily driver, but i also have a RR chassis and drive train with a gutted shell that i want to build into a fun truck.

I have been looking at options and i still like the idea of a rover V8, if something goes i can always find another quick fix, unlike doing a diesel conversion with adapters and all. and i have also been comparing prices, the cost of rebuilding a rover V8 is not much different than a chevy, and much less than a diesel. pretty cheap actually considering i spend nearly $4000 on parts and machineshop labour rebuilding a classic austin mini engine.

cheers,

I bolted in a used 4.6 into my classic with no hassel and there is tonnes of power for a very reasonable cost and reliable engine.
