Finally BC bound....

#1 Post by LandyAndy » Sun Mar 04, 2007 8:55 am

Hello all,

After 2yrs, 1mth & 2 days our medical requests have finally arrived for our PR visas. So, we hope to be heading for BC in the summer once our house has been built in Revelstoke. Anyone close by who needs parts let us know, we'll be bringing a container over and there may be a bit of room spare.

Cheers,
Andy

Are the parts for free? Let me see! Where can I start.

Right now all I need is a manifold gasket but I think I'll wait awhile and get a bunch of stuff from Wise Owl. Good offer though. I find the most difficult thing to get is BSF nuts, bolts and studs. I bought some bolts for my hub flanges at a local fastner supply and paid $5.35 each!!! Plus taxes. Turns out I asked for the wrong size and they didn't have any of the right ones. I still have them around here somewhere.

I thought you were already here? Any special hold up or just bureaucracy?

Hi Duncan,

Bureaucracy.... has taken 2yrs, 1mth & 2days from first applying to getting our medical requests. So, only another 4/6wks to wait till we get our visas...... hopefully....

We should be over in late April to land, see the progress on our house, buy a car, sort some rented accom & do a load of shopping for the new house so if anyones around for a beer we can meet up.

Cheers,
Andy

Ah ha! They're getting faster at the Canadian Embassy in London then :D

All the best with the move - we made it over here last year so I know exactly what you're going through.

If you make it over to Vancouver Island, be sure to look up the members that live over here.

Bon voyage!

David
