Amateur Radio Course

#1 Post by sdillen » Tue Jun 12, 2007 2:04 pm

The 4WDABC is scheduling an Amateur Radio Basic Course to be presented by the Delta Amateur Radio Society. The course will be held on July 19/20/21/22 (Thurs Evening/Fri Evening/all day Saturday/exam on Sunday) in the Surrey/Delta area. Final location and pricing is to be determined, but I should have that info within a week or so -- and the price should be very reasonable.

May I ask any interested in attending to drop me an email ([email protected])?

ARGGHHHHHHHH. I do this every time, don't I?!?

I think this course will run out space pretty quickly and we'll be trying to schedule a second event in the Fall.

Stop. Rewind. I just received a note from Don -- he has just been informed that he had forgotten a "prior commitment". In the interest of preserving his marriage this is being rescheduled -- Sorry for the confusion, but the NEW DATES ARE: July 12/13/14/15.

Last Call

I've been informed that the Delta Amateur Radio Society has reached the 20 participant maximum for this course, however they have secured a slightly larger room and therefore are accepting just a few more entries.

If you are interested in obtaining your Amateur Radio Basic Qualification, I recommend that you send in your registration information NOW.

As they say.....speak up or forever hold your peace (on the amateur radio bands!)

This course is FULL and registration is CLOSED with 25 participants, 18 of whom are from the four wheel drive community.

Those who have registered should have received an email this morning from the Delta Amateur Radio Socieity -- if you have NOT received this information, please sent a note to [email protected] to let DARS know that your contact information is incorrect.

Also -- if you cannot attend for any reason, please let them know -- I understand that there are a few on "standby" to take any open spots.....

I'd like to offer a sincere thank you to the Delta Amateur Radio Society for making this course happen!
