Next Whipsaw Run -- Aug 4-5, 2007 NOW CHANGED TO AUG 11/12

#1 Post by DaveB » Sun Jul 29, 2007 5:27 pm

For those who haven't made it to one of our Whipsaw cleanups this year, there is one booked for the August 4-5 weekend. Please post your intention of going on this run here as there is a chance that the date may be changed if there is no interest.

thanks, Dave

Is anyone intrested in moving this run to the 11-12 of August ? We would be running from the south to the north this time and it's the last run we will have to clean up the trail before the BFG thing.

I'm in for the 11/12. This weekend is looking a little doubtful.

Dammit  I forgot my stupid friends are getting married that weekend. I really need to change my priorites... I just want to get away more than one a year. This is like the 4th wedding this summer. People should plan around my landrover addiction. :D

Thanks for the consideration, however I have a river rafting trip booked for the 11th. I only have 1 weekend off in august 18/19, but I’m sure something will come up for that weekend too.

We now have 3 trucks confirmed to go and 5 confirmed to stay, anyone else ? For those that can't make it we will be going again in sept. and oct. If you haven't done this run now is a great time to go with 3 very experienced drivers including a living legend to show you the way. This is a pristine high country trail with moderate challenges throughout and a very enjoyable run you won't soon forget.

Good on ya mate hope to have a cool Fosters nakedbarra.
To begin the run we will meet at the Whipsaw turn off on highway 3 13k before Princeton at 10:00 am sat . morning The run is around 90k so you should have plenty of fuel left if you fuel up in Hope. I am free friday afternoon so I could be talked into going up then , otherwise I'll probably leave sat. morning. Andy don't forget your tow rope.

Hi Shawn,

How about Whatcom road at 4pm? Let me know if that works for you.

Is everyone else leaving Saturday morning?

Don, do you have a set of high-heeled wheels? I like the stiletto 5 spokes myself!!

Sorry to tell you Kris and every one but the trip ended Sat morning before ever hitting the trail. Charlie was very sick and died on the way to the vet there was nothing that could have been done to save him. It looks like he had a tumor that ruptured and he went into shock and died.
