Series 3 gearbox tunnel cover
Hello,
I am looking a series 3 gearbox tunnel cover, I just bought a new bulkhead and the old cover doesnt seem to fit, its about a 1/2 of play in it. Any help would be appreciated. Video attached to show the problem.

Re: Series 3 gearbox tunnel cover
Hello
A lot or rover panels really do not fit very well even from the factory so you may have to do a bit of bending to make things line up. Normally you need lots of caulking or rubber strips between panels to seal things up but 1/2 inch is a bit wild.
I would try laying in your floor boards next and see what they look like, they are all kind of connected.
Good luck Victor

You say “new” bulkhead. Is this just a used but “new” to you bulkhead? or a newly fabricated bulkhead?

Hello JP
The series 3 bulkheads cover almost a 13 year span and there were quite a few changes that happened to the bulkheads over that time period so your 3 cover might be for a different specification. My advice is that you contact 3 brothers and get them to help you source the correct cover to match your specific bulkhead. I have had very good luck with them in the past so I think they should be able to help you.
Regards, Rob

From your video, it looks like you got the tranny cover for the one piece combined floor board, but need the one for the multi-piece floor boards.
Download the zipped parts manual from:
https://www.landroverweb.com/landrover/ ... catalogue/
In the pdf # 9, pages 11 and 13 show these 2 variations of tunnel covers with part numbers.
Good luck!!
