Sunday snow run following the Founders day....

#1 Post by ANDYD » Sun Jan 08, 2006 10:28 pm

The Big day at cloverdale is only 2 weeks away, its time to add a bit of "spit n polish" to that old camo paint :D

Just wondering, is there still going to be a Sunday snow run on Jan 22nd like in past years?

cheers,
Andy

Dickson Lake loop........Snow Flake Chase... Jan 2006

#3 Post by ANDYD » Tue Jan 24, 2006 2:10 pm

Firstly, a Big Thankyou for the great breakfast put on before the run by Phil & Deb. Really set us up for a cold day playing in the snow :D

So for anyone not there on Sunday, we found lots of snow....In fact too much snow!
Around 2.30pm most of us had turned around after a fun battle with the fuffy white stuff!

Of course. Kris & Nat (90), Mark (110) & the Big Bad UniMog battled on into the afternoon determined to complete the loop if at all possible

So, how far did they get??? ........Kris? Mark? Let us know how you did :?:

to my surprise the mog didn't go any farther then me and Mark did,
we made it to the top of Dixon Lake and couldn't climb anymore do to deep snow and ice.
we turned around and caught up with Phil down at Michaels.
we might have to go back there in late Feb.

it was a lot of fun

Kris
