Looking to upgrade my suspension.
Currently running Terrafirma Medium springs front and rear with the non-extended Terrafirma shocks. Front ARB bumper with M8000 wire rope winch. 245 75r16 tires. No sliders and stock rear bumper. May go to a steel rear bumper at some point, but no sliders (afraid of rusting my rockers).
My truck probably sits different from others as I have a TD5 diesel installed with 5 speed.
I find the rear springs too soft when both rear wheels take big hits at the same time.
Off road the truck whips side to side annoyingly. No as if undamped, but stiff side to side.
Front and rear bumper clearance is lacking for me.
Steering is vague due to castor from lift.
I am thinking of upgrading to Terrafirma Heavy springs all round, Castor correction arms and adding an adjustable track rod. Keeping regular length shocks.
I figure the above setup will have the truck sitting at the half travel point ( between bump stop and full shock extension) when lightly loaded.
It seems extended shocks require a number of other changes and not provide much more overall travel.
Does anyone run without sway bars to reduce the whipping and increase flex? Compensate with stiff springs?
What’s the common proven suspension setup for D2’s?

Did you end up upgrading your suspension?
