Series Wheels on the Island?

#1 Post by pblarose » Thu Sep 07, 2023 8:14 pm

Anyone have some advice on sourcing not crazy expensive wheels for a series. Mine are in ok shape but need to be stripped and re-painted. Was looking at something like these:

Morning Paul
I was on that journey for this 1959 109" about a year ago and it was a challenging one.
If you can wait they are posted on line occasionally.
FBMarketplace, Craiglist, other sites.
I was fortunate to pick up a set of 5 [wheels (no rust) + Michelin tires (lots of tread)] from a chap in Kerrisdale who was changing out the original 1990's Defender wheels.
You could also try pacificoffroad.ca in Squamish....he brings in LR's from France/Spain and has wheels occasionally.
They are available.....just have to be "Johnny on the spot"

I have a set of 109 Series II wheels painted black with a brush. The finish isn’t ideal but if you’re interested let me know. Located South of Duncan.
