I have recently moved to Courtenay with my 1970 88 which I bought new. I would like to connect with LR owners in the area. I also own a brand new Defender.

Are there any club events planned for the near furure?

The next club event I know of on the island will be our 21st Van Isle Land Rover Rally. It will be on the first weekend in May this year, Starting Friday May 3rd we have moved it up a month this year from its normal time in mid-June in the hope that we can get into the forests for a drive before fire season shuts the roads down (Global warming).
Details will be available in the near future, 4 free fun filled days of rovering, camping and the world famous Saturday night Pot -luck.
T-shirts will be available again this year (although its going to be tough to beat last years design).

Welcome to the Island, we really should all go up Island for Coffee one of these days. Us lower Island rover owners could caravan up in a convoy (safety in numbers).
There are quite a few Series land rovers and defenders on the Island.
