You guys have been super helpful so far as I blunder through trying to rebuild my S2a 88. So, I figure since you're allowing me to ask stupid questions, I'll ask one more.
I have a gearbox that's in decent condition and I don't believe it needs any rebuilding. That said, while it has the gear lever in place, the other two levers have not been installed (yellow and red levers). I've looked at every diagram I can find and while I can find diagrams of the actual levers and their components, I can't find anything that shows how exactly they attach to the gearbox. Can someone lend some insight??

Re: Gear levers
They both attach to the top of the transfer box, these photos may not be your exact model but they are all much the same.

That's really helpful. Doesn't completely get me there but definitely gets me a few more steps forward! Thanks for that!ANDYD wrote: Wed Jan 22, 2025 10:22 pm They both attach to the top of the transfer box, these photos may not be your exact model but they are all much the same.

Re: Gear levers
Hi, hope this may help, it’s a bit dirty but the yellow knob is on a fulcrum that pushes a rod into the top of the gearbox, and the red pulls a shaft with a nut on the end back and forth running your high low.
