Hej Blue Waever,
Interesting tale with your driving experience, behind the wheel of a series Land Rover. Believe me, your not alone.
Have you tried changing the rims, for a greater off set, so that the wheel track is slightly wider. This may help the Landy with tracking better on heavily worn roads.
What are you using for tires ?? Ply tires are crap!!! Radial tire's would give a better drive, given that they are aired to a adequate pressure. ( I knew a guy in Winnipeg, who inflates his tires to 45 lbs, because it said to on the side walls!!!!! hahahaha, so much for the owner's manual and common sense )
Toe in on a series Land Rover should be 1.2mm - 2.4mm, not the stated 1/4 inches . ( Info directly from the Green Bible, page 9-G )
How are your suspension bushing's ? If they are worn, they will give you the sensation of wiggling or moving around, while driving straight at speed. Is it time to replace them ?
Cheers,
Todd.

swaywhen towing
Jim hello. 1 of the most impotrant things when towing a single axle trailer is the toung weight it has to be nearly 15 percent of load. there are anti sway ubits for a single pole and a frame trailers as well that help. Reese makes adapters for their anti sway units. check a local rv parts store. all the best. rick.m ps are you on for greenwood??
