South Cariboo Run - May 28, 29th, Are You Going?

#1 Post by DaveB » Sun May 09, 2004 9:51 pm

Departure Friday evening, May 28th, 2004 from Whatcom Road, Abbotsford, 5:00 PM. We will head up to Green Lake, Deb's cabin, as our base camp.

Those coming from the interior can meet us at 8:30 pm, May 28th, at the Cache Creek Husky. Anyone coming up Saturday morning, May 29th, can meet us at 9:30 am at the Cache Creek Husky. It is a 3.5 hour drive to Cache Creek from Abbotsford, so guage your time accordingly.

We will proceed from there to do exploring in the hills surrounding Green Lake/70 Mile. Camping overnight at Green Lake on Saturday evening and then more exploring on Sunday before we head back down. Liaison: Phil Armstrong 604-857-0097

I'm going up Friday night, I think. I understood you were heading up in the morning. There are likely a few in each group...

I will be heading up Saturday morning, unless I take Friday off work.
Do you know how big of a group so far?

So far you, Shawn Doherty, Gerald Bolduc and I. Hopefully the rest will let us know here on the forum.

Think I'll change the title of the thread to encourage people to indicate their attendance.

I'm in for a Friday afternoon departure. I wouldn't mind joining in a convoy. Keep me posted about time and rendezvous locale.

Hi Bill,

as outline above, we will be leaving Whatcom Road exit to hwy 1 at 5:00, so aim to be there a few minutes before.

Glad to hear you've got your muffler resolved, or are you going to chase the wildlife away?

Gerald can't make it, but we now have Stuart S. on the list, so that gives us the following so far:

Phil & Deb, Defender 90
Dave & Jim, Defender 110
Kris, Defender 90
Dave, Series IIa 88
Stuart, Discovery
Shawn, Series III 109
Bill, Defender 90

Anyone else?

Hey Guys,
Its Thursday night and I'm still waiting for news of the arrival of my new stainless exhaust. I'm currently running without muffler or tailpipe and the noise is throbbing. It should be in tomorrow so I will do my best to get on the road with enough time to run up with the Friday night group. Is anyone still heading up on Saturday morning?
