Carb conversion on 3.5 RRC?

#1 Post by Rob » Thu Sep 28, 2006 6:38 pm

Hi everyone.

Maybe I am old school but there is just something about being able to tune the fuel delivery to the motor with a screwdriver instead of a computer and a multi-meter that appeals to me. My RRC is an 88 so I realize the EFI is pretty rudimentary and has been mostly trouble-free so far but seems to be getting quirkier as time goes on (and parts appear to be both rare and expensive). As such, I have been wondering about yanking the EFI system off of my RRC 3.5, putting-in a new manifold and running with a carburator. Has anyone had an experience with this? Is it worthwhile or am I just replacing electronic gremlins for mechanical misbehaviour?

Thanks, Rob

I will not provide an opinion...But...I find i have in stock a new Elderblock carb and manifold for a 3.5. Still in the boxes. Let me know if you are interested.
