--------------------------------------------------------------------------------

Due to the layers of well adhered epoxy paint that my frame was sprayed with before its install, I chose not to strip it down and have it galvanized.

Therefore, now that its all assembled and the truck being driven, its important to do a rustproofing of the inside of the box frame. So, I looked around and found a fellow who was able to spray on a waxoyl-type rustproofing compound, initially suspended in a solvent , which then evaporates leaving a waxy layer to protect the metal.

He misted the inside of the frame very thoroughly for me for a total of $75! What a deal. He suggested coming back for retreatment in 6 months, then once a year after that. At that price I can really afford to.

He's willing to offer similar pricing to others in the RoverLanders as well.

Talk to Cory Danelisky at the Car Buff Centre in Abbotsford, 604-850-1311.

Hi, we use a product at work called 'Rustmort' that is sprayed into frame areas. It converts any rust into a crystaline substance and is suppose to stop rust dead. It can be purchased through most autoparts stores. We use it in 1 liter bottles and apply it with garden sprayers and small hand sprayers. It seems to work well. Jerry
