Membership has its privileges...

#1 Post by DaveB » Fri Feb 16, 2007 8:22 pm

Please note that our membership dues for 2007 are $35, down from $50 since we are no longer sending $15 per membership to the 4WDABC.

In recent weeks, we've added a private area to this forum for members only. If you're not seeing it when you log in, you're either A) not a member, or B) if you are a member you need to send me an email with your forum user name so I can add you to the members area. I think I've added most, but may have missed a few.

Also, for members, the first newsletter of the year should be out by the end of April, so get your membership in for 2007 by clicking here. and either signing up online or download the form and mail us a cheque.

thanks, Dave

Sure enough! I can't find the "members only" site.

By the way, when I finished paying and registering for this year, I clicked the "Return to RoverLanders" link and went to Rover Landers/home but there was no border at the top of the page with the tabs for Web Forum, Links, etc. I had to re-address the site and go back in again.

FYI

Hi Greg,

I did a test payment this morning and all appears to be working properly. I think what must have happened is one of the submit or continue button initiated an "open in new window" command on your browser which would result in exactly the problem you described. Good to hear you got out of it by retyping the address.

Thanks to you, and the others over the past few days who've submitted their membership. Pamela tells me that she is close to sending out a basic member pack, and as a club we are working on a more detailed members handbook, so if anyone has ideas of what needs to be included, please let me know.

If you are a member, and not seeing the Members Only area of the forum, it is because of one of 2 things:

1. You aren't logged in to the forums.

2. You haven't emailed me with what user name you are using, so I can add you to the members area.

Out of 72 paid members so far this year, only 30 are signed up to the Members Only area...

BTT. Send me a PM with your real name if you are not getting access to the members area and I'll be happy to add you to it.

As usual, every few months I'm bumping this posting to the top. We have a lot of new members this year, and would like you to take part in our discussions in the Members Only area. These usually surround idea gathering, planning for events, feedback when a decision has to be made, etc.

So if you are a club member and haven't seen the Members Only area when you log into the forums, please email me and let me know your user name on this forum.

cheers, Dave

Rates don't look like they're changing for 2009, at least it hasn't been a topic at recent meetings.

Don't forget that you need to let me know what your forum name is if you're a member but not seeing the members section of the forum.

cheers, Dave
