Disco started pulling to the right over the last couple of days so I popped the front wheels off to take look.
Front right was dry and the bearing wasn't loose
Front left - bearing OK. Back half of steering ball was wetish.
Nothing dripping, but definitely some fluid was getting out of something.
The steering ball was still topped right up with no signs of contamination.
The inboard pad was definitely comtaminated and the inside of the disk has a definite film on it.
I'm guessing a leaky caliper. The fluid in the master cylinder does look like its down a bit.
I was wondering about the back hub seal, could it be hucking grease out there?
The only sources of contamination I can thing of are: brake fluid, axle grease, or hub oil
Comments please!!
Thanks, Roger
