Touchscreen software for GPS, Music, Movies, etc.

#1 Post by archaeology_student » Tue Jun 12, 2007 5:10 pm

Well, I have loaded it up, and I am slowly testing everything out, but what do you think?

I will be using my Panasonic Toughbook CF-28 laptop 13.3" (touchscreen), so it is a giant touchscreen that will be mounted beside me while driving. No need for a separate CD deck, gps unit, flip out screen, etc.

All I need now is an amp, some speakers, and a RAM laptop mount and I am good to go in my Rover.

I am using a piece of software called RoadRunner. If you click on the picture, it will take you to more screen shots to get a better idea.

RoadRunner came from this thread.

Everything to do with RoadRunner, including skins is at this sub-forum.

Road Runner is running on TinyXP rev.05, and took 8 minutes to install TinyXP on a PIII 600MHz with 64MB of ram. TinyXP only took up 600MB once installed.

TinyXP is a very, very, VERY fast version of Windows XP that someone refined. A lot of the running processes that most people do not use, or care for have been removed.

Any questions, or help just ask :)
