Whipsaw July 7-8
As before we will meet at Lodestone Lake on Sat. morning. We will be traveling north to south on this trip. Those who wish to camp at Granite City on friday night will have an easy time meeting at Lodestone. I may be camping at Lodestone friday night as I intend to work on the site Friday afternoon. If enough people want to camp at Granite City I'll come on down and stay there. If anyone can get away early on friday they can help me at Lodestone. There are two tables to paint and two signs to install and some clean up. I'd like to get out of Lodestone by 11:00 am sat. morn. We will be picking up debris on the trail . I believe there will still be snow and fallen trees to contend with and bugs may be very bad so be prepared. Please post your intentions.

It looks like we have at least 5 trucks so that should make for a good run and there are enough of us to carry out some work on Lodestone. I have respooled my winch and am ready to pull it out again. I will very likely meet Wes and Rick some where on the road up the moutain as I'm replacing some of the old Lodestone signs on the way up as there is a great deal of intrest in the trail this year.

Wes:
Rovers aren't all you were tugging...
Do you work at alienating people or does it come naturally? Was your goal in coming to Whipsaw with the Rover-Landers to see how many Rovers you "need" to tug so you could brag about it on Monday? Despite not needing a tug from you this weekend, I gotta say that I'll have to think twice about ever accepting a strap from you if it means I'll have to endure the "I pulled the grade faster than everyone else" or "mine is bigger than yours" bit most of us left at the grade school playground. Enough already!
Everyone in the group that was there has loads of off road experience and between that, the two Rover-mounted winches, and tow straps of our own, I'm sure we could have suffered through. If you chose to come out next time, please leave your ego at home...
