April - Seton Portage run

#1 Post by chilliwack » Mon Mar 17, 2008 9:13 am

Well, the family and I had a great time on the Hale Creek run. Polly and the kids really enjoyed the the camradarie of all the Roverlanders. :D

I thought I'd start the thread for April's run.

Could Bernie give us some more info on route and times?

Thanks everyone

Roger

Hi Roger and all

Well the basic plan is to take the highway to Boston Bar cross the mighty Fraser then follow the river on the westside to Lillooet. Visit the bakery and coffee shop then head to Carpenter lake and camp the night. Sunday morning head up over the top of the mountain to Seton Portage then along the Highline to D'Arcy - Pemberton - Whistler - Home.

This is a easy run on mostly logging roads with awesome vistas and scenery. High mountain roads in beautiful BC.

Hey everyone !!!
With the hi snow pack around Whistler and with talking with some friends there Is a good chance the road from Seaton to Darcy may still be not passable mid April due to snow levels. I guess we shall see

Cheers
Andrew

thanks, Dave
