disco 1 alarm gone nuts

this problem started a while ago, but I would lock and unlock the car and it would reset. Today, no luck the alarm would not stop. I disconnected my battery and waited, hooked it back up and my friend the horn was back. I have no fob and trying the ignition did nothing. How do I immobilize my alarm? Any help would be great.
